Papaya Thai cooking circle in July 2011

Because July is a month of summer in Japan. This kind of weather made me thought of Thailand where there are a lot of mango in summer (March-May ). So, this month we made Khao Neiw Mamuang (Sweet sticky rice with mango and coconut sauce). The main dish is Khao Soi (Yellow noodles with curry), the famous dish from the North of Thailand. It is not so spicy, but tastety. This time we make curry paste by ourself as it requires few ingredients. Another dish is Thai style spring rolls, the difference from other spring roll is we use a lot of herbs which are easy to find in summer; basil, and mint (from my small garden at balcony :). I like this menu because it is very healthy. Preparation of spring rolls needs some pracetice, but everyone can make it!
